Getting involved: in community work
Download
The Church is the largest voluntary and community organisation in the UK. Serving in this way enables us to 'love our neighbours' in practise, and also makes a powerful political statement about the kind of society we want to see. Mike Andrea of Global Generation started a small project with local kids and ended up running a multi-million pound regional youth service. He offers insight and advice on:
- The role of the 'third sector' in providing services;
- how to get involved as a church or individual;
- how to get funding for your project or idea;
- common pitfalls and practical advice.
